Academics

Trinity Christian School bases it's educational philosophy  and mission statement  on the foundation of scripture. It is out of this belief system that we strive for excellence in all we do.

Curriculum

The curriculum of Trinity Christian School is designed with a two-fold purpose: to provide an academically excellent education, and to teach every subject from a Christian perspective. At TCS we believe that our Christian faith is relevant to math, history, literature and science just as much as it is to Bible class.

LOWER SCHOOL

The K4 program is designed to prepare students for kindergarten. A particular focus is on reading readiness. In Kindergarten and first grade, the focus is on reading using a phonics-based approach, along with math, spelling, social studies and science. From grades two through six, students are no longer learning to read but are reading to learn in every subject. Bible is part of the curriculum each year.

Every student in grades K4 through fifth grade takes music, art, P.E. and Spanish once per week.

UPPER SCHOOL

In Upper School, the curriculum is college-preparatory in nature. Students are required to take English, Science, Math, and History each year, in addition to two years of a foreign language. The school-wide averages on the SAT for TCS students are consistently well above the state and national averages.

Bible is also a required subject every year. The upper school Bible curriculum includes a year of each of the following topics: Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Ethics, Church History, Christian Doctrine, and Worldviews.

Fine arts electives include Drama, Choir, and Art at both the middle school and high school levels.

TCS offers Advanced Placement (AP) classes in six subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Calculus, English Literature/Composition, and U.S. History. In addition, juniors and seniors have the opportunity to dual-enroll at Georgia Southern University through the ACCEL program.

TCS also offers certain online elective classes, including Latin, French, German, Chinese, and many more through the Christian Schools International Online Academy.

"TCS academics are truly excellent: well-rounded and personal. They have not only prepared me for the SAT, or even for college, but for my future - molding me into the person I am going to be. I've been inspired with a lifelong passion for literature, learned how to formulate my own opinions and comprehend challenging subject matter."
