The Arts

At TCS we value the beauty of God's handiwork all around us. We also value the talents of our students as He gifts them with differing creative abilities. We help our students capitalize on these gifts by providing programs created to teach skills and enhance each child's God given talents.

Lower School students (K-5th) are taught Art once a week. Art is a fine art elective in the Upper School. Middle and high school art classes are taught by Mrs. Charlotte Carroll, who has a bachelor's degree in art from Georgia Southern University. Art students are taught the fundamental principles of art, and are also able to select to focus on drawing, painting, metalwork, sculpture, or fashion. Art work is displayed at the Bulloch County Fair, the Averitt Center for the Arts, and throughout the TCS campus.

Mr. James Glass is our Lower and Upper School music teacher. Mr. Glass holds his Bachelors of Art degree from Covenant College.  He is also the Church Musician of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
In the Lower School, every grade from K4 through fifth has music class once per week. Classes learn the fundamentals of music. They also work on songs for programs such as Grandparents' Day, the annual TCS Christmas Program, and a Spring Program.

In the Upper School, students can elect to take Middle School or High School Choir for their fine art elective. Both choirs learn sight reading, and perform several times a year. Upper School choir students have the opportunity to participate in the District Honors Choir and the All-State Choir as well.

In past years TCS has presented The Taming of Shrew and participated in the Shakespearean Festival in Atlanta, GA. Our drama class has participated in the GICAA One-Act Play competition and produces a Spring drama each year as well. Drama is taught by high school English teacher Mrs. Diane Welker.
