Welcome from TCS Athletic Director, Mr. Will Douberly
Welcome to Trinity Christian School! Athletics are an important part of our ministry and education at Trinity. We believe a strong athletic program provides many opportunities for children to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Sports programs create a healthy social outlet for our players and opportunities to build school spirit. At TCS we emphasize developing Christ-like character through athletics. Attributes like humility, loyalty, perseverance, and compassion are stressed. Displaying sportsmanship in competition is a great way to be a witness for Christ to opponents, officials, and fans in attendance at the game. The enjoyment gained from victory, the patience gained from loss, and the lessons learned from striving for individual and personal goals are invaluable tools that God can use in the lives of our students.
Although winning is not the most important goal for our athletic teams, we do strive to be excellent at all things and prepare our student athletes to be successful in their athletic endeavors. We seek a proper balance between athletics and academics. Because of our rigorous academic program, and a commitment to encouraging our students to be well rounded, we have a policy in place that requires one weekday free from mandatory athletic training or competition. We desire for our athletic program to be a positive influence on our students as they pursue their education.
From a humble beginning in 1997 with parent-volunteer run sports, we have grown to have a more full and successful athletic program. In 2013, Trinity Christian School became a founding member of the Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools (GAPPS)
As a member of the GAPPS, our teams compete in region play and have the opportunity to advance to playoffs at the state level. We are blessed with a coaching staff which has over forty years of combined coaching experience.
