Trinity Christian School is currently seeking to fill the following positions for the 2023-2024 school year.

Elementary Teacher - 1st GradeElementary Teacher - 1st Grade

We are seeing a talented 1st grade teacher who loves the Lord, children, and teaching!  Responsibilities include but are not limited to lesson planning, grading, classroom setup, teaching, and meeting students’ social, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishing and enforcing rules of behavior for students in the classroom
  • Preparing lessons, units, and projects to complete learning objectives
  • Establishing and communicating clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects
  • Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students
  • Creating, assigning, and grading various assessments for students, including tests, quizzes, essays, and projects
  • Working with students one-on-one when they need extra help or attention
  • Tracking and evaluating student academic progress
  • Leading parent-teacher meetings
  • Maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, coworkers and supervisors
  • Creating a safe, respectful classroom environment
  • Communicating regularly with parents
  • Helping students improve study methods and habits
  • Administering tests to evaluate students’ progress
  • Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
  • Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
  • Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, etc.)
  • Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
  • Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to develop lesson plans and successfully instruct students in theories, methods, and tasks
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others and clearly express complex ideas
  • Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to students’ various learning needs
  • Knowledge of appropriate learning psychology, styles, and strategies
  • Strong public speaking and oral presentation skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Advanced technology skills to track student attendance and grades and present creative lessons
  • Leadership skills and patience for working with students of all ages

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in teaching and must be in the process of being GA state-certified or ACSI-certified. Applicants must also be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, be involved with an evangelical, protestant church of like faith and practice, and agree with the philosophies, Statement of Faith, and Statement of Christian Life Commitment of Trinity Christian School.

High School Math TeacherHigh School Math Teacher

We are seeking a talented high school math teacher who loves the Lord, children, and teaching!  Responsibilities include but are not limited to lesson planning, grading, classroom setup, teaching, and meeting students’ social, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicating with students in an understandable, effective way about daily lessons and instructions
  • Establishing clear learning objectives and developing these with their students
  • Collaborating with school administration in enforcing rules of behavior, class participation, and conduct for students
  • Developing flexible, effective teaching tools and methods to help students learn mathematics
  • Creating and assigning learning projects, tests, quizzes, and homework for students, then grading their performance accurately on these assignments
  • Working with students individually if they need extra help and support in their math coursework
  • Highly organized planning and time management capabilities
  • A fundamental understanding of math
  • Extremely effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technical proficiency in creating and tracking coursework, tests, and other assignments for numerous students
  • Precise verbal and written instruction abilities
  • Patience and emotional management skills for dealing with students of assorted ages and personalities
